No Controversy Here!
"And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."
- 1st Timothy 3:16The greatest confession ever told, "God Manifest in the flesh". This reality will always be proclaimed by men and women going back to the time's of the Messiah, till today in our fast pace "let me see the proof" society. WOW! God became flesh! How can we deny this truth, how can we debate this proof, how can we argue this glorious doctrine. It was a mystery to all. But now that we have become new and alive in Christ, we can understand that God is a Spirit and was manifested in the flesh so you and I can be saved from our wages and our yokes for they are unto death. Praise the Lord somebody, there's no controversy here, there's no question about it! "God was manifested in the flesh"; the invisible God became visible and His name is Jesus.
This manifestation of God in Christ, was a huge stumbling block for the Jews. They could not understand how God was able to come as man to this earth. Among the many blasphemies the Jews considered was this so called "Messiah" who was out and about forgiving sins. Christ said to the woman who was found in adultery, "Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more". To the Jewish heirarchy this was worthy of death and they were eagerly willing to crucify this so called Messiah. To this day people do not believe that Jesus is God; but to His saints the truth has been revealed.
Christ was justified in the Spirit. The Spirit of God approved or justified Christ by raising Him from the dead. Men killed Him, they crucified Him upon the cross. But was lifted and justified in the Spirit.
He was seen of angels. The angels had seen Jesus in many occasions: In the announcement of His birth (click here for verse: Luke 1:26-31), In His temptation (Mark 1:13), In His Trials (Luke 22:42-44), In His ascension (Acts 1:10-11).
He was preached unto the Gentiles. Christ was preached to all the nations of the world. Jesus Christ came to save all people, not just the Jews.
He was believed on in the world. This was the very purpose of the incarnation (a bodily manifestation of a supernatural being), the very reason why Jesus Christ had come to earth that some might believe on Him and be saved to live with God forever.
He was received up into glory. Jesus Christ has completed the great work of Salvation. There is no other Testament, there is no other way to the Father, He has been Glorified, strengthen, honored, and blessed (Revelation 5:12). Yes, the mystery of godliness has been revealed to His saints, definitely!.
