I've Been Tagged - Page 123. You're It
Fritz over at cyclelicio.us tagged me today, so I'll be nice and play along - anyways, we're joining his family for 4th of July. So, the object of this game is that you pick 5 people, ask them to grab the book nearest them, turn to page 123 and write the 6th, 7th and 8th sentences, then tag 5 other people. Well, what's the book nearest me upon receiving this invitation, the Bible (*duh*); here we go:
Exodus 28:10
"...six of their names on one stone, and six names on the other stone, in order of their birth."
11: "With the work of an engraver in stone, like the engravings of a signet, you shall engrave the two stones with the names of the sons of Israel. You shall set them in settings of gold."
12: "And you shall put the two stones on the shoulders of the ephod as memorial stones for the sons of Israel. So Aaron shall bear their names before the Lord on his two shoulders as a memorial."
Matthew Henry has a good commentary on this, worth reading and especially as it relates to Christ and our relationship with Him. Ok, 5 people, some of these people I do not know personally but really enjoy their blogs: Chuck, Michael, Jason, Greg, Robert. Continue the chain people.

McCain & Evangelicals, A Start-up Church, Rick Warren Should Preach Christ

My Visit to Ask Rick Warren to Preach Christ
From MondayMorningInsight.com: Last month, Rick Warren invited a good number of his online detractors to his Purpose Driven Conference. When Bob DeWaay got his invitation, he declined (even though Saddleback offered to pay his travel and entire trip). When asked to reconsider, Bob says, "since the Bible says that we should be ready to give a reason for our hope in the gospel (1Peter 3:15) I decided to go."
